A better web is built for more people.

a11y is a San Luis Obispo website studio making accessibility part of the work from the first screen.

a11y started with a straightforward belief: a small business should not need a large-business budget to have a website that feels considered, capable, and easy to use.

Not a template with a logo swapped in. Not a one-time project that gets abandoned the day it launches. A useful, readable, accessible home on the web - built around the way the business actually works.

The web should make it easier for more people to find you, understand you, and choose you.

Why a11y exists

Most agencies treat accessibility as a line item. Small businesses are left with the risk, confusing audit language, and a website that asks too much of the people trying to use it.

We chose a different starting point. Accessibility belongs in the structure, content, contrast, keyboard paths, and interactions from the first screen. It stays part of the work when the site changes.

The work behind the page

a11y brings modern web craft to local businesses without asking them to become web developers. We handle the parts that are easy to postpone and expensive to ignore:

  • A clear information structure that helps people find the next thing.

  • Content that can be read, resized, navigated, and understood.

  • Responsive pages that hold together on a phone, not just in a presentation.

  • Thoughtful checks as the website grows, instead of a launch-day handoff.

99.95%

uptime target

A dependable website should simply be there when a customer needs it. The infrastructure does its job without becoming part of yours.

The result is a site that feels immediate, earns trust, and has room to keep improving.

A different business model

The usual website project starts with a large invoice, continues with a queue, and ends with an hourly rate for changing a sentence. a11y is designed around continuity instead.

Built here, for businesses here

We are based in San Luis Obispo and building for the businesses that make a place feel like itself: the shop people recommend, the service people rely on, and the team that knows its customers by name.

If the current website is more work than help, tell us what is getting in the way. We will start there.
